AURORA SCRAP

RESEARCH WORKFLOW

Turn saved research links into references you can use again

After collecting a link, record why it matters. Save the page and add a short note so that the context is still there when you return to your research.

Written by the Aurora Scrap development team. The template below is a note you fill in yourself, not an automatic template feature in the app.

A bookmark and a saved file serve different purposes

A bookmark takes you back to the original address. A saved file keeps the content captured at that moment. Recheck changing prices and policies at the source, and record when you checked them.

Save your first research reference

  1. Choose a public page and a category

Open a page you can access and have permission to save. Start a new web scrap in Aurora Scrap, then confirm the URL and the category where you want to keep it.

  2. Choose a format for your purpose

Consider PDF for reading or sharing, PNG/JPG for visual references, and MHTML or SingleFile HTML for a web archive. Results can differ between formats, even for the same page.

  3. Open and check the saved file

Make sure the text and images you need are present. If you need offline access, test the saved file with the network disconnected.

  4. Add five fields of context

Paste the template below into the scrap’s memo and fill it in. Keep the source, date, and reason for saving together.

Watch the saving workflow

This demo illustrates the Aurora Scrap saving workflow. It uses the English interface with on-screen explanations and no audio. The steps above describe the workflow.

Use the video captions menu, where available, to choose English, Korean, Japanese, or Simplified Chinese. English explanations are already visible in the video; translated captions appear near the top. If captions are unavailable, expand the full transcript below.
